45km. 512m ascent. 2h05 ride time
Super humid and hot today but we had a short ride to get to Harrodsburg to visit the 1770s reconstructed fort there.

The ride continued through the beautiful countryside of Kentucky with plenty of short sharp climbs to keep us sweating.

An excellent choice and only $6/person (over 55 years old, so we both qualified this time). Both the Fort and the museum are definitely worth taking a short day for and require 2-3 hours to visit properly. There are people in period costume working at different crafts and explaining what they are doing at the same time.

After checking in to our motel we went downtown to visit the local brewery and sample a bit of local ale.
