Williamsburg is beautiful and a lot of the houses are original. All commerce is kept out of the town so you have to go to the edge to get a coffee or food which is really great and preserves the atmosphere of the colonial town.

Williamsburg was the original capitol of Virginia before it was transferred to Richmond and was a prosperous town.

We were up early and got to see a lot before the other tourists arrived, which was good for the photos.

Later in the morning there were people dressed in period costume and they were very happy to explain their little part of the reenactment.
