Easy day today through the beautiful Kentucky countryside with no wind at all this morning. We wanted to visit the Lincoln Homestead State Park which is 8km north of Springfield where we had our motel, the Springfield Inn.
Cool temperatures this morning and we arrived at our motel in Springfield at midday to dump our panniers and ride up to the Lincoln Homestead State Park ‘naked’.
Sadly despite being advertised as open, it wasn’t, and only one house, the Lincoln Cabin, was unlocked.
We saved ourselves $5/person but didn’t get to see the big house.
