An easy day today to bring us to Lexington as we have the hardest climb ahead of us tomorrow: Vesuvius up to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We set off in pouring rain 💦😓 but it wasn’t cold and by lunchtime the rain stopped.
We also bumped into Matt in Buchanan when we stopped for coffee ☕️
We took a detour to visit the Natural Bridge State Park. The park is well worth the 6km detour.
We weren’t so fast today because we had a 10-13km/h headwind but even in the rain Virginia is still beautiful
