TransAmerica day 40"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ordway to Sheridan Lake. 145.63km. 360m ascent. 7h25 ride time<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We had planned an early start for 3 reasons: 1, It was a long stretch.  2, to beat the heat. 3, to try to avoid the wind which is less strong mornings.  Unfortunately we had enjoyed ourselves a bit too much the night before and weren&#8217;t on our best form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The wind got up early so even though we were on our bikes at 07h00 we went shade<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The church is huge and extremely well maintained for a population of around 100 inhabitants. We couldn&#8217;t call the Pastor because we had not cell coverage so we just went straight in, read the guidelines for cyclists and installed ourselves.  We were really happy to have arrived and could get out of the sun into a climate controlled environment.
