Guffy to Wetmore. 97.85km. 903m ascent. 4h54 ride time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we left Guffy after not sleeping at all well. We were both cold in the night and the military cots were not as comfortable as they looked. Nothing was open, not the bar, not the bakery and not the caf\u00e9\u2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This left us with about 40km to get brunch but mostly downhill so we survived. As today was a short day with just ~85km we had time to go a do some sightseeing \ud83d\ude03<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Royal Canyon was a 15km detour so we took it. Brutal climbs to get there in 30C temperatures but wow was it worth it <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entrance was 30$ each and it is very touristy but the canyon is impressive and the gondola return after crossing the bridge is included<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We spent a couple of hours at the canyon before returning to the route and heading for our Warmshowers host in Wetmore<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uphill for the last 20km past the huge prison against the wind so we were really glad to arrive in Wetmore<\/p>\n\n\n\n
