We went to Luxembourg town yesterday to the Philharmonie to listen to Bolero and Carmina Burana.
I haven’t been to a classical concert for a very long time, but this was excellent
Orchestra of some 80 odd instruments and a choir of about 130.
There was no amplification and yet I still registered over 110dB and got a warning on my watch!
This sort of music brings goosebumps
Also the Philharmonie is a pretty cool building. A bit modern and a lot of polished concrete, but an excellent auditorium
Free public transport all the way from Troisvierges to the venue. I think Luxembourg is the only country in the world that offers ‘free’ public transport, it was certainly the first to do so. ❤️
