Why did I buy this bike?
For the same reason as my Nerve XC9: Value for money.
Why not a carbon frame?
My bikes go with me wherever I fly and the Stevens F9 Race that Ria now rides has a lovely dent in the frame due to rough baggage handling, if it was carbon it would have been trashed.
If you compare any other make with the same weight, they cost at least 1000€ more. If you compare the same specs. you have to accept at least 1 kg more weight. I chose a compact because we live in quite a hilly region and I don’t have the most powerful legs, so this seemed the best compromise and I am very pleased with my decision.
